I'm a Photographer not a Pimp

Journal Entry: Thu Apr 17, 2008, 5:17 PM
Please do not request any personal information about models appearing on my DA site. Maybe spring has raised the hormone levels out there, but please don't mistake my gallery for a dating service.

If the model has approved the inclusion of a link - I have provided it. Please contact the model with your questions

If you are a SERIOUS PHOTOGRAPHER interested in working with one of the models on my site who isn't linked, you can provide me with your contact information and a URL. I'll be happy to pass that information on to the model.

Use of My Photographs

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 10, 2008, 9:27 PM
I'm honored that a number of artists have asked to use my images in their work.
I've been really pleased with some of the results I have seen.

Since it is difficult to give each request a thorough answer, I thought I would use this journal entry to detail the guidelines for using the images in my gallery.

• I will give permission for my photographs to be used as models for paintings or drawings but I will not permit the actual file to be manipulated. I expect that paintings or drawings will remain true to the theme of the original image. Don't add wings, chains, ropes, blood or any other elements the put the model in a situation different from the one portrayed in the original photograph. This isn't an ego trip on my part. The rapport I have with my models is partly due to the fact that I'm very clear with them on how they will be portrayed.

• I have posted images to this site at a resolution I feel safe with. I don't want to resort to watermarks. Please don't ask for higher resolution images.

• I am really unable to supply additional images of the model.

Please be considerate of these guidelines.

Let me know what you'd like to use and share the results!

THANKS

WOW DD - UPDATE

Journal Entry: Fri Jan 4, 2008, 6:24 AM
Woke up to hundreds and hundreds of new page views with no explanation. I thought I was in a Florida election! Finally found a message from a Deviant congratulating me on the DD. WOW! I'm really tickled! BIG THANKS!

UPDATE
Well the morning after I've awoken to hundred of favs comments and watches. I really appreciate the support and acknowledgement of this community. In the past I've been diligent about thanking people for each fav but I'm quite over my head in this case. I plan to still comment on each watch and comment but those kind folks who have given me a fav have to accept my blanket thanks in this global form.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Requests for Prints

Journal Entry: Thu Nov 29, 2007, 12:15 PM
I have received a number of messages requesting that I make an image available as a print. I'm very honored that some of you have shown that level of appreciation of my work. While I'm sure that DA does a good job in producing copies of an artists work, I feel a need to keep control over the production of my work.

I'm very particular about the final look of my images. I know that slight changes in exposure or contrast can affect the feeling I was trying to achieve with the photograph. I'm also believe in selecting papers that are long lasting and that compliment the style of the particular image. Finally I would like to exercise control over the edition size of a particular print.

Again I appreciate the interest in my work. If you're interested in purchasing a print directly from me, please contact me at my website:

or email rtriboli@surewest.net

Thank You
Robert
